This dark, moody Jim Lee Batman is from the ultra popular series, Batman: Hush. The iconic imagery of Batman carrying his battle beaten boy wonder, Robin, is one of the most memorable themes in Batman continuity and this is certainly a memorable scene in one of the best Batman stories from the modern comics era. Additionally, this gorgeous piece was executed solely by Jim Lee in wash. The ink wash techniques give this page a dream like feeling. They are rare because only a few of these pages were done and the few that exist do not change hands often.
